0 Degrees Celsius.
The winter usually got this cold for the city of Mitakihara. That didn’t mean it was ever something to get completely used to. Plus the fact it was 0 degrees always made it feel that much colder. The greenette bundled up as usual and with a huff went outside.
She shivered. What a cold day it was with the wind blowing right through her buttoned up coat and into her skin and make her feel like turning right back inside and curling up into her blankets. In other words, Hitomi was a complete wimp to the cold. Who could blame her? Coming out of a comfortably warm house and hardly coming out with all the lessons and easy transportation from home to school. She hardly felt the cold until she went outside for a moment and quickly wanted to go back inside.
However Hitomi wanted to go outside today. It was one of the few days she was free to do whatever it was she pleased. She had no lessons, no chores or anything from her parents, and she was free to do anything she liked. She had originally hoped to go out with her friends but not getting a word back from them was when Hitomi decided to go out on her own. She could do some nice time by herself and out of the house. Less of the rich girl she was expected to act as and more of the middle schooler she was. It was a nice feeling.
So walking outside into the cold was a more welcomed feeling now as she stepped away from the estate and headed out to the shopping center. She hadn’t been there since the New Year and Christmas, going shopping with her mother and it was nice to be able to see what the New Year had brought to the shops. Although a lot of it seemed to be the same. She looked around and in a daze she nearly knocked into someone else. She paused and rubbed her head. “Ah… my apologies.”
It had been a decently calm day for her. Sayaka couldn’t figure anything to do though. There wasn’t school going on and she didn’t have any plans with Madoka or Hitomi that day. So she decided to head out of the house in hopes of wasting time. Unfortunately. she left her cellphone so she would miss any calls that were aimed her way. To most this was rather cold out, but she just was accustomed to it.
Not to mention it helped that she had a fairly heavy jacket. Time ticked by on her walk with little to nothing happening aside from her dodging the crowds. It was around eleven o'clock when her stomach called out for some lunch. Figuring that today was a good day as any to go to her usual favorite dinner in the shopping district, she head in that direction.
Just as she managed to enter into the main section, she ended up bumping to someone. Thankfully she maintained stance so the other seemed to bounce of her more than anything. “Nah, that was my fault I am sure. No need to apolo– Eh? Hi… Hitomi.” Okay she hadn’t expected running into someone she knew. “Heh heh Who would of thought it be you I bump into.”
